Over 500 people attend an opening day special event of ’The National Parks Photography

Project’ at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum in College Station, Texas.

The iconic exhibit featuring 59 black and white photographs - one from each of America’s 59

national parks - on exhibit in the presidential library museum until March 21, 2015.

November 2014

Just one year away from the opening of ’The National Parks Photography Project’

scheduled for Monday, November 30, 2015. Currently about 45 of America’s 59 national parks

have been photographed.





April 2011

With most preliminary work now completed, serious photography begins for ’The National

Parks Photography Project’ in Yosemite national park.





September 2009

A retrospective exhibition of selected prints on display at the George Bush Presidential

Library & Museum through August 2010.





November 2008

CVN77 Portrait of President George and Barbara Bush. "On November 13th I had the

honor and privilege of photographing the Bushes for the portrait that will be displayed in the

aircraft carrier U.S.S. George H.W. Bush - CVN77". The final framed print is approximately

20" x 30" and will hang in the Captains Quarters for nearly 30 years.

"I am honored to have been chosen by Continental Airlines to judge their annual

employee photo contest for the second year in a row. In the past two years of

judging I have seen some wonderful photography, taken in locations all over the

Current Projects:



’The National Parks Photography Project’



Conceived and created to ’Celebrate the Centennial’ Anniversary of America’s

National Park Service in 2016. The exhibit will feature iconic photographs of each

of America’s 59 national parks by acclaimed photographer Mark Burns.

’The Culture of Wine’ Exhibition



A labor of love...and much more than just photography. This is a major project....

creating and producing a wine exhibit that will be featured at The George Bush Presidential

Library and Museum in College Station, Texas. The exhibit will open September 28, 2009

and runs until August 22, 2010.

George Bush Presidential Library & Museum - Head of State Gift Photography



Photography of over 400 Presidential Head of State Gifts given to President George H. W. Bush.

The images will be incorporated into new exhibits opening in the Fall of 2007.





Photographs of the American Southwest



A two part project beginning October 2007 photographing landscapes in American’s Southwestern

states of Texas, New Mexico & Arizona. Primary equipment will include 4"x5" and 6x7cm film cameras.

Selected finished works will be printed on exhibition quality fine art papers. A limited edition book

project will accompany the print release.
